Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

What a powerful statement. Everywhere I turn today I read of the importance of following your heart, doing that which truly makes you come alive. For more on this topic read the books of John Eldridge, "The Sacred Romance", "The Journey of Desire", "Wild At Heart", and "Waking the Dead". If you only have time for one, read "Wild At Heart". These books have changed my life. I have begun to create art more often and with much greater passion than I have since I was a child. Thanks to this website (and wetcanvas.com where I was guided to this site)I have a place to share my art with others.
